Insert S-100 sockets correctly, and hold in place with tape (already done in kit)

Solder corner pins, then remove tape.
Ensure corners of sockets are fully seated, the solder remaining pins.
Now that all pins are soldered, check for solder bridges between pins and adjacent traces.

Remove solder flux with a good-quality flux remover.

Use a soldering iron with a fairly large chisel tip, that can supply plenty of heat.
If a socket is not fully seated, then heat up the soldered pin on the unseated side of the connector, and apply light pressure to seat the socket fully.
If any bridges are found, remove them using solder wick.
Remove solder flux with a good-quality flux remover, such as MG Chemicals Heavy-Duty Flux Remover.
Total assembly/inspection time: 35 minutes.
