Opening the box reveals the Altair 8800 User's Manual.
The kit was very well packed. After unwrapping the bubble-wrap, I was excited to reveal the 8800 chassis.

Yes, this is kit Serial #001, bought on eBay.
The attention to detail is excellent.
Removing the two rear screws, and four side screws, and sliding the cover off reveals the rest of the kit parts.
Is this an advertisement for FedEx or what? All kidding aside, the packaging was excellent.
This panel goes behind the actual "dress panel" to add support, and to provide something for the swtiches to attach to.
Contained the Power supplies and mounting parts kit.
Packing list, power supplies, and bag of wire, screws, and a bunch of other stuff.
Contains FedEx envelopes with the rest of the parts for each PCB kit.
Containing parts for each PCB kit. Two envelopes are for the Display Board.
And packing list. This envelope contained the Motherboard PCB and the four S-100 connectors.
Were packed in this envelope. The boards were packed very carefully, and separated, so that they would not get scratched in shipping.
